KISSAPERHONEN: 1 / BUTTERFLY CAT: One

Tein viime kesänä linoleikkauksen kissasta, joka uskoi olevansa perhonen. Aihe jäi pyörimään mielessä värillisenä. Eihän siihen auttanut muu kuin yrittää muokata linosta öljyvärimaalaus. Aloitin pohjamaalaamalla taustan eli eriväriset pellot. Onneksi löysin vesiliukoiset öljyvärit, sillä pienessä työhuoneessa liuoittimien hajua ei oikein siedä.

Last summer I made a linocut of a cat, who thought she was a butterfly. This subject remained in my mind as a coloured version. So it did not help but try to modify this linocut to an oil painting. I started by bottom painting the background and it´s many-coloured fields. Luckily I found the water mixable oil colours. In a small work room you can´t really tolerate the smell of the solvents.
